Declaration and management of Tribal Ancestral Zones in Palawan

The Palawan Council for Sustainable Development (PCSD) and the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples jointly undertake recognition of the ancestral domain claims of the indigenous peoples of Palawan through issuance of a joint memorandum circular in 2005. Gradually, the tribal ancestral zones are being declared and designated for these indigenous peoples, as integral part of the environmentally critical areas network in Palawan. The professional staff of the PCSD provides technical support and assistance to the indigenous communities concerned in the formulation of the respective ancestral domain sustainable development plan (ADSDP)
