Reintroduction of the loggerhead sea turtle in Fuerteventura

It is a conservation project aimed at recovering a nesting population of loggerhead sea turtles, disappeared a few centuries ago. The project aims to diversify the spawning areas since they are currently suffering a significant regression throughout the world, improve scientific knowledge and disseminate the current situation of this species, as well as contribute to active conservation by recovering the original colonies.
