Siberut BR Law to Control Illegal Trade in Wild Species

System of cooperation between the authorities and the local communities. The authorities can register all those boats that cross from Siberut to the mainland to prevent the illegal trade in protected wild species and the overexploitation of unprotected species. Organized groups of local inhabitants become informants who monitor the wildlife trade and participate in gathering information on these activities.
