UNESCO's Man and Biosphere department in the Vidzeme University College

In order to promote the understanding of the idea of the biosphere reserve in society and strengthen the cooperation of the parties involved in the fuller implementation of this concept, an internationally recognized UNESCO department "Man and Biosphere" was established in Latvia at Vidzeme University College.
