Land Crab management for conservation and tourism development (Cu Lao Cham - Hoi An)

Land crabs play a very important role in people's lives on Cham Islands, in tourism development and as biological indicators to monitor the forest ecosystems health. Currently, the exploitation, sale and use of land crab at Cham Islands has come into shape, after a study that yielded results and proposed actions on 5 levels: awareness raising, habitat and nutrition preservation, migration path protection, spawning ground protection, human-nature conflict reduction, and the four forces (government, scientists, entrepreneurs and community) combination effectiveness enhancement.
